We’re really concerned to see that bus services are being cut on Grenoble Road in Greater Leys from later this month.

Anneliese Dodds MP says: “Oxfordshire County Council told us bus services would improve with their congestion charge. But we’re seeing worse buses for Greater Leys residents.”

“The 3A route was already cut back in November; now there are plans to cut it even further from 22nd February. This will cause many Greater Leys residents a load of hassle and time.

“I have raised this with the Oxford Bus Company and Oxfordshire County Council. I will keep pushing for Greater Leys to get the decent buses it deserves, and urging the County to take action, alongside local Labour councillors in the Leys.”

3rd February 2026

Dear Luke Marion and Cllr Andrew Gant

We are distressed by the announcement of a further cut to the 3A bus route on Greater Leys from 22nd February by the private Oxford Bus Company. We are calling on the Lib Dems running Oxfordshire County Council to help keep this vital bus route going.

Residents deserve reliable, frequent bus services from the City Centre going down Grenoble Road onto Cowley LIDL, Tesco, and Cowley Centre. We also want to see a new minibus route which would go into the Greater Leys estate along the route of the previous bus service, to join it up with Cowley Centre.

It is not fair that residents on the Leys have lost essential services while other areas have been better off. Many residents rely on the 3A bus service to get to Templars Square. They are effectively cut off if they can’t manage the long walk to the nearest stop, or are worried about walking through dark parks and streets. This particularly affects women and people doing shift work, as well as older people and vulnerable people who rely on local buses to get around.

Please put proper bus services in place for Leys residents, and keep them there.
