192 local businesses have now signed up the Oxford Living Wage and will be paying local people at least £14.06/hour to reflect the real cost of living in our city. That includes Oxford City Council and Oxford Direct Services (ODS).

Cllr Chewe Munkonge is Oxford City Council’s Champion for Small Businesses. He says: “It feels like only yesterday that we were campaigning for fair pay and the Oxford Living Wage alongside Anneliese Dodds MP back in 2017.”

“Since last April alone, 45 new employers have signed up and a further 18 have re-engaged with the scheme, so thousands more workers are benefiting from fairer pay. Every new employer means more local people earning a wage they can live on and more money staying within our local economy.”
